Vaillant's skill is finding engrossing stories with an ecological slant to them. The Tiger, his follow-up book, has a much more exciting premise. In the remote far eastern forests of Russia, a huge Siberian Tiger has attacked and killed several people. But the men assigned to hunt down the creature soon find themselves stalked by their target!
