Program Title: Chronic Submission interview
Description: This is the MP3 audio version of Equalizing-X-Distort's radio broadcast. The broadcast has an interview and some newly recorded material by Chronic Submission who have just gotten back together. Chronic Submission were one of the bands in the golden era of Toronto hardcore. They were younger than everyone else in the scene at the time. They came from the Beaches, which back then were described as gas station row. Chronic Submission may have been younger than everyone else, but they always blew away the bands they played with. And they played with some heavy hitters. One of their first shows was with MDC in 1982. They also got to play with the EFFIGIES from Chicago and the CIRCLE JERKS from Huntington Beach. They released two cassettes and were on a number of comps the most important of which was the "Toronto Hardcore '83" comp. The band almost had a record out on Alternative Tentacles, but this missed opportunity is one of the band's biggest regrets. This interviewed was recorded on Sunday November 7th, 2010, but aired on November 14th.
