Description: Gorilla Radio with Chris Cook: The Coal Watch Comox Valley Society is an alliance of residents and islanders concerned about the environmental and social impacts of the proposed Raven Underground Coal Project slated to be sited between Parksville and Courtenay. Coal Watch will be holding public forums On Denman Island tomorrow, and right here at the University of Victoria this Wednesday at 7pm in the Law Building. John Snyder is a resident of Fanny Bay, and serves as president of the Coal Watch Comox Valley Society. John Snyder watching the Raven in the first half. The effects of Egypt's fledgling revolution are already being felt beyond its borders, and nowhere in the region are events being more closely watched than in neighbouring Palestine, where the Mubarak regime has provided essential garrison duty for Israel, manning the western wall of besieged Gaza. Jon Elmer is a Canadian photojournalist, who lives in and reports from Occupied Palestine. Jon Elmer, live from Bethlehem in the second half. And; Victoria Street Newz publisher and CFUV broadcaster, Janine Bandcroft will join us at the bottom of the hour to bring us up to speed with the goings on on Victoria’s streets and beyond. Chris Cook hosts Gorilla Radio, airing live every Monday, 5-6pm Pacific Time, in Victoria at 101.9FM, 104.3 cable.
