Program Title: WINGS #42-10 What's Wrong with Nuke Power?
Description: Dr. Caldicott lectures from her encyclopedic knowledge of health problems, safety problems, and political problems that keep being ignored by those determined to profit from nuclear activity in all its forms. Part 1 of 2 from a talk in the US, November 13, 2010.
Host(s): Stacy Pettigrew
Featured Speakers/Guests: In 1980, Dr. Helen Caldicott left an extremely successful pediatrics and teaching career to work full time against nuclear war, which she saw as the greatest threat to the world's children. She has founded multiple organizations, including one that won a Nobel Prize. Along the way, she recognized nuclear power as an even more present danger. She lives in Australia but often lectures in the US.
