Earthjustice evolved from the Sierra Legal Defense Fund, and is the largest environmental law organization in the world. Erik Grafe works out of the Earthjustice Anchorage office, and is especially focused on issues related to the expansion of offshore oil and gas leasing and exploration in the American-claimed Chukchi and Beaufort Seas. Erik Grafe and the looming conservation fight at the top of the world in the first half. And; David Swanson is a long-time peace and social justice activist, journalist, and the author of the books, 'Daybreak: Undoing the Imperial Presidency and Forming a More Perfect Union,' and 'War is a Lie.' He's also founder and co-founder of numerous political organizations and campaigns, including: ConvictBushCheney.org, AfterDowningStreet.org, andWarisaCrime.org, an organization that believes, quote: "Exposing fraudulent basis for war, [is] key to ending it." David Swanson and The Military: Closer to You Than Your Family in the second half.
