He moved back to Canada where he wrote, taught and was the founding editor of 'The Walrus”. In writing “The Moral Lives of Israelis: Reinventing the Dream State” Berlin discovered that his own family was a microcosm of the Jewish state. He spoke with Bookbits interviewer Craig Rintoul in his not entirely tranquil backyard in Toronto.
