Dan Savage, who has described himself as a "gay Ann Landers" is the preeminent sex and relationship advice columnist in North America. Combining humour with facts, his column Savage Love, is read in over 400 papers across Canada and the U.S. He reached new heights in 2003, when then-Senator from Pennsylvania and current Presidential candidate Rick Santorum compared homosexuality to "man-on-dog sex". Outraged, the openly gay Savage challenged his readers to redefine Santorum. Go ahead, Google it.

Savage has also received criticism for his columns and sayings on bi-sexuality and the trans community. Queer activists have taken to "glitter-bombing" Savage at his speaking events. Nevertheless, Savage remains committed to broadening sexual awareness and taking on the conservative establishment, like Rick Santorum.

William Marsden is the senior investigative reporter for The Gazette. He has won two National Newspaper Awards and three Judith Jasmin Awards. He is the co-author of The Water Barons, as well as The Road to Hell: How the Biker Gangs Are Conquering Canada, which was a national bestseller, won the Arthur Ellis Award for Best Non-Fiction Crime Book, and was a finalist for The Writers’ Trust of Canada’s Shaughnessy Cohen Prize for Political Writing. Marsden has also co-produced a documentary on the Hells Angels and a documentary on water privatization.

His latest book "Fools Rule" deals with Canada's oil industry and the privatization of energy. It is available through Random House
