Shelley Robinson is the executive director of the National Community Radio Association (NCRA) which just recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. Shelley talks about her start in Radio, why she became involved the NCRA, the future of radio, and some of her favourite radio hosts.
Stuart McLean has hosted the Vinyl Cafe on CBC Radio since 1994. Featuring the iconic Dave & Morley, as well as their children Sam and Stephanie, stories from the Vinyl Cafe have been in theatres cities across Canada. McLean has taped half his shows on the road since 1998.
As well as his classic stories, which have been called "Story telling comic", McLean has told many dramatic stories. As well, the Vinyl Cafe has featured a who's who of Canadian musicians over the years.
For many years, McLean also taught journalism at Ryerson University in Toronto; he retired in 2008. When he is not touring, he lives in Toronto.
