Program Title: WINGS #47-11 Muslim Divorce in India
Description: On December 9, 2010, more than 2000 divorced and destitute Muslim women came out to protest in Kolkata, West Bengal against a system that allows them to be left destitute with their children by a brief oral statement of their husband. As of 2012 a draft codification of Muslim family law is out for public consultation across India.
