Description: Henry Rollins is an accomplished singer-songwriter, spoken word artist, journalist, publisher, actor, radio DJ, and activist. In the 1980s, he fronted the punk band Black Flag. Following their breakup he released several spoken world albums as formed the Rollins, which was in existence until 2006. On television, he hosted The Henry Rollins, and, as an actor, had a recurring role on Sons of Anarchy. He is active in many political causes including LGBT Rights, World Hunger Relief, and End to War. He latest spoken word album is "The Long March"
Rena Sharon is a classically-trained musician as well as founder and Artistic director of the Songfire Festival of Song. The festival brings back the art of song poetry, a combination of music and spoken word. It runs June 3rd-24th in Vancouver.
Wintersleep are a Juno Award-winning band from Halifax. Their fifth album, Hello Hum, hits stores on June 12th.
