Program Title: Endeavours - life in front of the camera
Description: Sophie Tweed-Simmons is the daughter of Rock legend Gene Simmons (KISS). Since the age of 12, she has appeared on her family's show "Family Jewels". After her and her older brother Nick sang at their parents wedding, they have performed concerts of standards, most recently in Richmond, BC. Now 19, she is branching out on her own investing in issues that are important to her. This includes giving her name to Sophie's Place, a centre for abused children in Surrey, BC. She recently ran away to her family's home in Whistler, voicing her opposition to her parents' adoption plan.
Kyle Ruddick is the director of the documentary "One Day", a fascinating look at one day on earth from every country in world. People from nation to nation filmed one day in the life of their community.
Adaline is a Vancouver-trained, Toronto-based singer-songwriter, whose new album is Modern Romantics. A pop record, infused with classic melodrama cabaret, Adaline has been compared to Judy Garland. Modern Romantics is available on CD and iTunes.
