Description: Dr. Wendy Norman, who is a scholar with the Michael Smith Health Foundation, discusses family planning, contraceptive and abortion services as they have developed historically and exist in Canada today. Then organizers of 'Join the Circle: UVic Acts Against Violence' stop by the studio to discuss this important event taking place at UVic on December 3, 2012 from 11:30am-2:30pm. They reflect on the importance of resisting violence against women, gender-based violence and all forms of violence. Those attending the event and listening to the segment are invited to make a commitment to act against violence in their own lives.
