Program Title: Endeavours - Celebrating Canadiana
Description: Jackson Davies is known throughout Canada (and across the globe) as Constable John Constable on the classic TV series "The Beachcombers" which ran from 1972-1990; Davies joining in 1973. In celebration of its 40th anniversary, Davies has authored, along with series creator Mark Strange, "Bruno & The Beach", a look back at the history of show and what it meant to Canadian audiences. Davies also touches on the state of Canadian television today and how it has changed over the years.

Suzanne Power is the centre director at The English Language Resource Centre at Memorial University in St. John's. The ELRC is responsible for the compiling and release of the Dictionary of Newfoundland English, which just celebrated 30 years in publication. Suzanne explains how many of the words came into being.
