Program Title: Endeavours - Debunking the myth of 2012
Description: David Morrison is an astrophysicist, astrobiologist, senior scientist at the NASA Astrobiology Institute, The director at the Carl Sagan for Study of Life in the Universe at the SETI, and, more recently 2012 debunker. Morrison, through his column "Ask an Astrobiologist" has been answering thousands of questions, rumours, and theories based on the end of the Mayan calendar. Is there a Planet Niburu? What are the political implications, if any? He also touches on science issues, such as global warming, life on other planets, and the anti-science rhetoric common in some republican circles.
Darren Fleet is the Spokesperson for "Meme Wars: The Creative Destruction of Neoclassical Economics", which was compiled and edited by Kalle Lasn, founder of Adbusters Magazine. Are we in a new age of economic understanding? How has Occupy changed our understanding of capitalism?
The Lumineers are an alt-rock trio based in Denver, Colorado. Their self-titled album was released earlier this year. Listen for their single "Hey Ho" on the airwaves.
