Description: This episode feature’s University of Victoria’s Faculty of Law (UVic Law) stage reading of “8,” a play about California's Proposition 8 written by the Academy Award-winning screenwriter of Milk and J. Edgar. UVic Law is one of the first Canadian venues to have obtained rights to perform this play, joining a cross-border, nationwide movement in support of same-sex marriage.
This episode of Women on Air also features the newest interview from Collective member Trisha House. Trish does monthly, in-depth interviews with interesting women leaders and local community contributors. This month she’s brought us an interview with Sandra Scarth, whose life has been about children – working for them, writing about them, and being a national advocate for them. Sandra Scarth is also the most recent recipient of the award Child Advocate of the Year from the North America Council on Adoptable Children.
