David Perlich is in Rome to provide analysis of the election of the next pope for CBC News. Perlich has previously worked for Al-Jazeera in Washington D.C., and was the managing editor of the Belgian daily newspaper De Morgen. He also spent 10 years with CBC News in Calgary. He has a Master's degree in Journalism from Columbia University, where his thesis was on the Holy See and media transparency. Perlich covered the last papal conclave, in 2005, for CBC News.

Peter J. Schwartz is a former reporter for Forbes magazine and legal fellow at NYU. He is the co-author of "Baseball As a Road To God: Seeing Beyond the Game" with NYU President John Sexton and Thomas Oliphant, former Boston Globe Columnist and Best-selling author. Schwartz was the first person ever to sign up for Sexton's Baseball As A Road to God seminar series. He lives in New York City.

The Joy Formidable is an alternative rock band from Mold, Wales. Their most recent album "Wolf's Law" was released on January 21st, 2013 and was inspired by the scientific theory of the same name.
