Program Title: Women on Air: December 4, 2013
Description: The first half of this show features Basia Bulat, who played a couple of her songs from her new album Tall Tall Shadow ("It Can't Be You" and "Paris to Amsterdam"). Then we discuss her music and inspiration for the new album a long with a couple other eclectic topics.
The second half of the show is an interview with Jared Brock co-producer of the new documentary "Red Light, Green Light" that delves into the issue of sex trafficking and prostitution. The film examines what other countries have done to address this issue and questions what course Canada should take. Currently there is a case before the Supreme Court to legalize some parts of prostitution, and we need to be having a larger discussion about this topic.
