The other two novels in The Barrytown Trilogy "Snapper" and "The Van" were also made into films. He won the booker prize for "Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha". His latest novel is "The Guts", which re-visists "Commitments" manager and co-founder Jimmy Rabbitte Jr. 25 years later.
