Description: Joseph Elworthy is a renowned, award-winning cellist, teacher and founder of the Koerner Quarter. Educated at Yale and then Juilliard under the tutelage of Aldo Parisot, Elworthy has performed all the over world including Carnegie Hall, Library of Congress and Alice Tully Hall. He has been a visiting professor at a number of institutions including the Beijing Conservatory, Harvard, and the Royal Conservatory of Music. He is the Executive Director of the Vancouver Academy of Music.
