Program Title: Endeavours - The Art of Slow TV
Description: Thomas Hellum is a television producer with NRK Hordaland, in Bergen, Norway. He is also the founder of "Slow TV" - long, un-cut real time documentaries. Their first project was documenting the seven-hour Bergen Line train that travels across Norway. It had close to one million Norwegians tune in. Subsequently, they set a world record for longest continual broadcast, by recording and broadcasting live from a mini day cruise, airing continuously for 134 Hours. That 3.5 million Norwegians watch, over half the country. Thomas explains why it works.
