Program Title: WINGS #18-15 Dividing Korea - a hidden holocaust
Description: Japan handed Northern Korea to the USSR the day the US dropped an atomic bomb on Nagasaki. A month later, they gave Southern Korea to the US. The devastating land war segued into a permanent US occupation. Since 1999, Koreans have begun exposing what they remember of the Korean War, which killed 5 million Koreans, half of them women and children. In effect the war has not ended.
Host(s): Kellia Ramares-Watson
Featured Speakers/Guests: Hwa-Young Lee, Pan-Korean Alliance for the Unification of Korea, USA
Credits: Interview by Kellia Ramares[-Watson]
Comments: Although this program was recorded 14 years ago, the facts are exactly the same - the US still occupies South Korea and threatens North Korea. The Truth and Reconciliation Commission is still working for acknowledgment of the atrocities and reunification. http://www.iacenter.org/korea/skorea070608//
