Program Title: The 2016 Democratic National Convention: Voices from the Streets of Philadelphia
Description: Host Michael Welch had a chance to visit Philadelphia at the time of the historic US Democratic National Convention the week from July 25 to July 28, 2016. His view from the ground outside the barricades revealed widespread hostility toward official nominee Hillary Clinton, favourable impressions of candidate Bernie Sanders and Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein, and even allegations of wide-spread corruption throughout the Democratic primary election process. There were also non-partisan activities staged to coincide with the National Special Security Event.
In addition there was the appearance of policing irregularities which cast the convention under a constitutional fog.
On this special edition of the Global Research News Hour in the summer, we will hear some of those voices struggling to be heard in the midst of deceptive and manipulative mainstream media hype over Hillary. This episode first aired on August 5, 2016.

Host(s): Michael Welch
Featured Speakers/Guests: Danny Glover, Mike Ewall, Michelle Grant
