Program Title: WINGS #21-16 Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka in Canada
Description: During an organic discussion with four members of Canada's National Campus and Community Radio Association, held at CHUO Radio Studios at the University of Ottawa ahead of the Association's annual conference, the Executive Director fielded questions on violence against indigenous women, how to include transgendered people in the conversation on women's rights, and how Canada can take a global lead on ending discrimination. She urged broadcasters to use their influence to change the world and make a difference.

Featured Speakers/Guests: Ms. Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka is United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN Women. Purna Sen is Director of Policy for UN Women. Gabrielle Fayant co-founded the Assembly of Seven Generations, sits on the board of the Friendship Centre Movement, acts as program manager for the ReachUp! North Program and in an advisory role with the Canadian Commission for UNESCO; she volunteers to help host the Michif Hour on CKCU radio in Ottawa. Sarah Newton is Equity Officer and acting Vice President of Canada's National Campus and Community Radio Association/ l'Association Nationale des Radios Etudiantes et Communautaires (NCRA/ANREC); Gretchen King is a longtime community radio activist and former News Director of CKUT radio; she is a consultant with the Community Media Advocacy Centre, and a doctoral researcher. Nicky Jean co-hosts the Radio Active Show and is also Resource Development Coordinator at CHUO radio.
