Program Title: NewFound Records - Ep.378 - Audat Records Pt. 1
Description: Between 1972 and 1976, Newfoundland recordings artists released two dozen or so LPs on the Audat label. Audat, short for Audio Atlantic, was based in Halifax Nova Scotia. That's where some Newfoundlanders travelled to record their albums. In search of the next Harry Hibbs, Dick Nolan, or Joan Morrissey, Audio Atlantic made it easier for Newfoundlanders to record. They brought their mobile equipment to MUN Radio studios in St. John's.

For the St. John's 'Audat Sessions', they sought advice from local musician and businesmman Lew Skinner. And they used Lew's top-rated band, The Country Ducats, as backing musicans.
