Program Title: WINGS #28- and 29-17 Women's Agenda 21, Parts 1 and 2
Description: Two-part documentary covering The World Women's Congress for a Healthy Planet, which brought together women from around the world in a collaborative process to draft an environmental agenda for the 21st Century. The document was used to promote human rights and recognition of women at the UN's Rio Summit on Environment and Development in 1992, but it is also a blueprint for women's activism to this day.

Featured Speakers/Guests: Peggy Antrobus reads from the Declaration, between statements by delegates on the various themes. Antrobus co-founded the Caribbean Association for Feminist Research and Action (CAFRA), Development Alternatives with Women for a New Era (DAWN), and the International Gender and Trade Network (IGTN). In 2004, she published The Global Women's Movement: Origins, Issues and Strategies (Zed Books, 2004). The late Bella Abzug was a member of the US Congress, a major instigator of US and international women's events, and a hell of a good speaker. She talks about the aims of the Congress, which was organized by an association she founded - the Women's Environment and Development Organization (WEDO).
