Specifically, we'll focus on Newfoundland's recording artists of yesteryear and the accolades bestowed upon them in 2018. Those artists include:

- Ralph O'Brien, recipient of MusicNL's Lifetime Achievement Award
- Denis Ryan, who was inducted into The Tipperary Hall of Fame
- Wallace Hammond, recipient of an Unsung Hero Award from MusicNL
- Eric West, who received Memorial Universtiy’s Arts in Education Award
- Glen Tilley & Peter Narvaez who were both named to The Newfoundland & Labrador Jazz & Blues Hall of Fame
- Fergus O'Byrne who received a Senate Sesquicentennial Medal, and
- Dick Nolan who was honoured by his hometown of Corner Brook which named the performance stage at The Margaret Bowater Park, The Dick Nolan Performance Stage.
