Program Title: Fit to Eat: the NL Farm and Food Show episode 20
Description: For this show, we head back to Labrador to pay a visit to Des Sellars, owner and operator of Nature's Best Farm. We chat about the great promise of agriculture in the sandy loam and rock-free soil of Central Labrador, as well as the challenges of farming a long way from the infrastructure that is needed. I also drop in on Ron Watts, who used to work for the Grenfell Mission in Northwest River, and we chat about the food that used to be grown there in days gone by. Both past and present, maybe it is all about making the world a better place - one carrot at a time.
