Description: This episode presents Yukon's favourite dance band, Major Funk and the Employment. Founded by Etienne Girard, Major Funk has been getting audiences across Western Canada on their feet since 2014 with a strong, steadfast rhythm from their colourful collection of guitars, horns, keyboards and passionate vocals. That big, funky sound is perfect for a rambunctious dance party.
We recorded this live performance at the St. Elias Convention Centre in Haines Junction, Yukon, in May 2019.
Band members are; Etienne Girard on bass guitar, Selina Heyliggers Hare, keyboards and vocals, Adrian Burill, trumpets and vocals, Lee Campese drums, Brent Gallant guitar, and Glen Emond guitar.
