Program Title: Fit to Eat: the NL Farm and Food Show, episode 33
Description: Did you know that many refugees and immigrants to our province have a background in agriculture - in growing crops - in making cheese - in doing all manner of entrepreneurial things around food production? This week on "Fit to Eat," we are talking with Sarah Thompson of the Association for New Canadians. She is the Project Manager of a program that is working on providing skills to a group of refugees to give them a chance to find jobs in our food production sector. We talk about why that would be good for them, and for us.
