Description: This is the first of two shows. A double header featuring one of the most important jazz artist working in Canada and the United States today, Vancouver born vocalist and piano player Jennifer Scott. Jennifer was largely influenced by keyboard virtuoso Chick Corea. On the vocal side she takes her inspiration from jazz greats Ella Fitzgerald, Billy Holiday and Frank Sinatra. Jennifer performed with her quintet at the St. Elias Convention Centre Haines Junction, Yukon in November 2019. The quintet's music has been described as “family-friendly jazz” incorporating many music genres including blues, world music and pop. Jennifer was joined on stage by her husband Rene Worst, on bass, David Sikula on guitar, Bernie Arai on drums, and Seattle based trumpeter Thomas Marriot.
