Description: This episode features bass player Etienne Girard from Whitehorse, Yukon.
He is an experienced band leader, having led many projects over the years and has composed for and collaborated with a wide variety of musicians in a multitude of music styles. In April 2019, Etienne and his six member band embarked on an ambitious project to perform covers of Jazz influenced progressive rock bands. This undertaking involves complex music arrangements and demands extraordinary commitment and musicianship from all band members.
We recorded this event live at the Old Fire Hall in Whitehorse, Yukon, as part of Jazz Yukon's "Jazz in the Hall" concert series.
