Program Title: WINGS #14-20 How Lesbians Wed
Description: From the WINGS archive back in 1996, these are two short stories read by their authors. They are from a collection titled Great Explanations: 4 Lesbian Stories, originally published on cassette by Women's Press, Toronto. This program is re-released as a tribute to the virtual celebration of Vancouver Pride 2020, which requested stories from history.
Host(s):
Featured Speakers/Guests: The late Jackie Crossland was a well known playwright, director and actor of fringe productions in Vancouver and abroad. She and partner Nora D. Randall comprised the theatre company Random Acts. Crossland died in 2012. Randall plays trumpet now in the Rainbow Band.
Credits: Thanks to Nora Randall for the use of the recording, and to Suzette Cullen for editing and announcing. Also thanks to Jay Peachy for asking for histories related to Vancouver Pride.
