This show is a bit of a December rambles, including gaelic tunes of kinship, the french perfume of St. Pierre, Amsterdam blues, Flamin' Hen Factories, sweet greens and blues, the second coming of folk-trad pioneers, tunes to support the Aran Islands lifeboat, an Australian house blessing, wry social commentary about setting up one's own cult, soaring waltzes for favourite dance partners, and new material from Martin Simpson, who put lockdown to good use in his home studio. Oh, and an as-yet-unreleased Channukah song with lyrics by Shelley Posen, sung by Ottawa's Finest Kind. Join me.
