Program Title: JAM Live! Episode 142 - Olivier de Colombel & Romain Fitoussi
Description: We are excited to welcome back the French saxophone and guitar jazz duo Olivier de Colombel & Romain Fitoussi to our show. We first presented these fantastic musicians in episodes 62 and 63 back in 2016.
Fast forward to November 2018 where we caught up with Olivier and Romain performing at the Old Fire Hall in downtown Whitehorse, Yukon. As with the previous performance by this duo, this event was hosted by Jazz Yukon as part of its “Jazz in the Hall” live music series.
This performance includes original pieces as well as music by John Coltrane and Thomas Chapin.
Olivier de Colombel (tenor and soprano saxophones) Romain Fitoussi (guitar and alto saxophone), Daniel Janke (keyboard, piano and percussion), Paul Bergman (upright bass) and Lonnie Powell (drums).
