I just got back from a week-long conference, and was wondering if celtic and roots music has a lot to say about conventions? Well, no. But that didn't stop me, alas. So the latest episode of "Routes & Branches & Beyond" is a show that celebrates "the Delights of Meetings." We have mystical tunes of goodwill from war zones, Scottish house trance for tweed-making, British museum pieces, spacegrass tunes about root crops, the unlikely meeting of Breton bombardes and free jazz, Quebecois gypsy jazz, accordions from Wales and Ireland, even a ska ceilidh.
