Program Title: Devra Davis: Secret History of the War on Cancer
Description: Devra Lee Davis, a renowned environmental health expert, is professor of epidemiology at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health. Dr. Davis was designated a National Book Award Finalist for her book, When Smoke Ran Like Water, part of which centres around a deadly air pollution episode in her hometown of Donora, Pa. She is the author of more than 170 scientific publications and the editor of 11 books. Her newest book, The Secret History of the War on Cancer, was recently published in October 2007.
