Program Title: PK Page - Canadian author, poet, and artist
Description: This interview with PK Page took place on the patio of her sprawling backyard at her home in Victoria BC. PK reflects on her time as a young writer in war-time Montreal, a period she says changed her life. She touches on feminism, rooting for the underdog, and her experience of becoming ''invisible'' as an elderly woman. She admits her hopelessness in a time of ongoing wars on a damaged planet. Despite that, she says she still enjoys simple pleasures like the birds in her backyard and music. But as for the music on CBC, she says the public broadcaster has shot itself in the foot with its recent programming changes. Ninety-year old PK Page also talks about her internal life as a writer, and how she may be more prolific now than she ever has been.
