Description: AQSA Zine is a grassroots publication open to 16-35 year old women and trans people who self-identify as Muslim. This is an interview with one of the zine's coordinators about their premiere issue on resistance and self-defense, and violence both against and within Muslim communities. The interview is timely only in that it mentions the launch party that happened at the Toronto Women's Bookstore on Thursday, February 27th, 2009. The upcoming double issue (on immigration/migration and love/sex/marriage) is also discussed.
