Program Title: Collapse of the West Coast Salmon Run
Description: 10 million salmon were expected to return to BC's rivers this fall, but in the end only a fraction of that ever materialized. On Saturday hundreds of people gathered in Vancouver to protest what they see as government inaction on the issue. To find out more, we talked to one of the organizers as the rally was just getting under way.
We'll also hear from Canadian documentary film maker Shannon Walsh about her new film H2Oil which looks at the resource behind Alberta's latest boom.
Host(s): Rebekah Rooney
Featured Speakers/Guests: Rick Glumac of Wild Salmon Circle;
Shannon Walsh, director of H2Oil
Credits: A production of CJSR Radio in Edmonton, Alberta.
Contributors: Alex Hindle, John Harvey, and Steve Andersen
Producer: Steve Andersen
