Program Title: Winter Cycling & the Politics of Civil Disobedience
Description: Last week Greenpeace activists took over a tar sands upgrader that was under construction just outside of Edmonton. Alberta's solicitor general responded by comparing the peaceful protesters to terrorists. This week professor Laurie Adkin of the University of Alberta's Political Science Department joins us to discuss the solicitor general's comments. We also have an interview with Keith Hallgren of the Edmonton Bicycle Commuters' Society, who shares some fantastic advice on winter cycling.
