Very few people , if any can boast they saved the world and the human race. Ted Sorensen most certainly can boast that. Not only did he achieve this through his conviction to humanity but did it through the pen. And yes folks as you will see, the open is and will always be mightier than the sword; dialogue is always better than a hail of bullets. You see folks, Ted Sorensen always had a gift above all others for words. Ted was the speech writer for non-other than President John Fitzgerald Kennedy. He was also JFK's closet policy advisor. Ted started with a young JFK long before he was a president and was with him for 11 years. How did Ted virtually save the world? In Oct 1962 the world came that close to nuclear annihilation. In this series of shows Ted will describe those tumultuous moments of the Cuban Missile Crisis, Bay of Pigs, Civil Rights and the assassination. This is living history folks. This is a man of honour and integrity and above all ideals. Ideals that he shared with President Kennedy. If you are alive today it is because of the wisdom and resoluteness of men such as John Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy and Ted Sorensen.
