Program Title: Interview with Negative Gain
Description: Rob Ferraz and Stephen Perry interviewed Grant Slavin, the guitarist and singer for Negative Gain. Negative Gain were teenagers from Oakville, Ontario who specialized in playing really fast hardcore in the early Toronto hardcore scene. Based on the strenght of their cassette demo, “Invasion of the Killer Bears,” they caught the eye of Septic Death frontman Pushead. This resulted in the release of the LP “Back from the Dead” on Pushead’s label, Pusmort. Not bad for some kids from the suburbs in Canada. You can hear Grant re-live some of the tales of one of the fastest bands ever to grace the crappy locals that made up the early Toronto hardcore scene.
