Description: This week's episode begins with a few 'Black Songs' that we didn't have time to fit in to last weeks show including Frank Quinlan's rousing ditty ‘Black Gold’, and Ray Broderick's great rendition of Johnny Cash's ‘The Man in Black’. Then we feature a beautiful love song by a musical institution in Newfoundland, Ralph O'Brien. MusicNL recently named Ralph this year's recipient of its Lifetime Achievement Award.

Then we move on to 'Brown Songs'. You'll hear Dick Nolan with his group The Blue Valley Boys do the old Doc Williams' nugget ‘My Old Brown Coat and Me’. Eddie Coffey and His Coffee Mates tackle the classic ‘Beautiful Brown Eyes’. And you'll have a rare opportunity to hear vintage Peter Narvaez with his group Homegas as they do Peter's original number ‘Busted Brown’. This gem is from an album recorded by by Peter's group Homegas in 1970 before he settled in Newfoundland, And there's lots more too!
