Description: I'm calling the show this week "New Release Double-Plays." I have a half dozen new releases, and I'll play two tracks from each. Not because I'm too lazy to find a dozen entirely different artists, mind you, but because I think it will give you a better sense of what these artists sound like. Honest. Highly charged free-reed abandon from Leveret, thoughtful ballads from Ye Vagabonds, youthful energy from The Drystones, solid blues and soul from Michael Jerome Browne, Northumbrian wizardry from Kathryn Tickell and the Darkening and southwestern Ontario rural charm from Allison Lupton. See what I mean! Why would you want anything more?
