Description: This week on "Routes & Branches & Beyond," we honour that time of year when Welsh folks go around with daffodills in their lapels and leeks in their hats. Yes, it is a St. David's Day show of music from Wales. There is rippling triple hars, deft accordions, insistent pibgorns, soaring fiddles, crystal-clear voices, polite diddling, jaunty tunes with terpsichorean accompaniment, Saturday night twistin' at the hop at the church hall, morris tunes of grace and gravitas, scratchy traditional singers and plenty of idioglot reed aerophones. And all with titles that are unpronounceable for pedestrian speakers like myself.
