Description: This week on Routes & Branches & Beyond, I'm presenting episode #1 of "the Covid Cancellations." Essentially, these are artists and bands I was going to go see live, until things were shut down. Oh, well. Since festivals around here are pretty much closed down for the summer, expect that there will be many more episodes of this theme coming up. Just trying to make the best of an uncertain situation. I have new music from Sherman Downey, Jon Boden, and Pierre Schryer & Adam Dobres. Plus, a yaffle of NL tunes, a jag of klezmer jazz, a netfull of maritime laments, a beaucoup of Quebec "crooked" tunes, a tankard of British songs, a mess of appalachian melodies, a diversity of Canadian Indie roots, and a miscellany of bluegrass.
