Description: This week on "Routes & Branches & Beyond," it is the second installment of the Covid Cancellations series that, it appears, will continue for awhile yet. On these shows I celebrate artists and bands that I was going to see in concert, but it was cancelled due to the pandemic. But I'm not bitter. We have their music. There will be another time. I have angsty mandolin-driven americana, joyous trad Quebecois, charmingly-accurate fairy tales of family life, music from Africa (before the borders were imposed), the nobility of the early morning paper carrier, an a capella trio doing a dance floor favourite, mellow melting-butter jazz, brassy blues n' roll from deep in the soul, happy songs about mortality, world-wise songs about the road and blues-jazz reminders to check our watches. Plus, new material from James Taylor and Dave Bromberg. Wash your hands and join me.
