Description: He was one of NL’s most popular entertainers in the late 1970s and early ‘80s. His songs Take Me As I Am and Hello Mom and Dad, I’m Coming Home For Christmas are modern classics.
He continued to make a living from music in his latter careeer by providing expatriot Newfoundlanders & Labradorians working on the mainland with a taste of home away from home. In 2011, MusicNL posthumously named him recipient of its Lifetime Achievement Award.
Today, NFR presents a musical biography of Newfoundland and Labrador’s One Man Band, A. Frank Willis.
