Description: In the fall, there is nothing like a good ramble. So this week on "Routes & Branches & Beyond," we head out for a virtual ramble - with a soundtrack. We start with some power reels, then a dash of mystical Irish spirituality, a song about one of Canada's cringe-worthy moments, a gaelic milking ditty, delta blues on the banjo, a Norwegian farming dance, whereupon we go down an Octoberfest cabbage hole and hear three unlikely polka bands that include a vibraphone and some Berlin Speed Polka and more cheery music for a gloomy world, and mixed in to all of this is some new material from the gloriously multicultural potpourri that is the Sultans of String - destined to get your eyes watering and your feet tapping and your soul soaring.
