Description: What name do you put on October 31? Chances are you're thinking Halloween, or All Hallows' Eve, the evening before All Saints' Day.

But, depending on where you grew up in Newfoundland, you or your ancestors might know it as as Colcannon Night, or Snap Apple Night, or Mischief Night. Those from Trintiy Bay North might know October 31 as Torch Night. If you're from the White Bay Area, you may have heard of Tar Mop Night.

Theses days, Halloween is a night for the kiddies. They get to gorge on candies... the fruits of their neighbourhood “trick or treating”. It’s a night filled with ghosts, spirits, black cats, bubbling cauldrons, witches and all things spooky!

In the spirit of the season, this episode of New Found Records provides a spine-tingling Halloween soundtrack filled with creepy tales and frightening music.
